HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Welcome back. We hope everyone had a joyous Christmas and a relaxing break. We are back to work and the children have jumped right in to their routine.
We introduced Mini Economy to the students today. A note will be sent home to you this week to explain what this marvelous project is all about. You will probably hear your child talking about Mini Economy since they are very excited. This project will be ongoing and has been loved by past classes. Your students were given a blank "portfolio" they have been asked to decorate and seal with a ribbon around the edges. This will hold all of their Mini Economy supplies, receipts, money, etc.
Beyond this, we worked on religion, social studies, Spanish, math and so much more! The children are probably a bit tired after such a busy day. We hope that they will sleep well tonight!
Homework:
1. Decorate portfolio- see above.
2. Book Box Project- A sheet was sent home with your child regarding this project. It is a way of doing a book report and the due date is January 25th-29th. We suggest the children start working on this project today versus waiting until the last minute.
3. Math- worksheet with 8 problems.
