Homework
1. President's book- Please continue to read and take notes on the next chapter (which should be chapter 6).
2. Spelling City is up to date. Unit 20 is what we are working on. This unit is a bit tricky due to it covering homophones. The sentences are going to be very important for the children this week. We have updated Spelling City with the sentences that are in their book. Please write out the first 6 spelling sentences in your spelling book. All 12 of the sentences will be due Wednesday if you would like to work ahead. The first two pages of Unit 20 are due tomorrow as well.
3. Multiplication flashcards. Practice 2 x everything through 12. Please write facts out twice each;
2 x 0 = 0
2 x 1 = 2
2 x 2 = 4
etc.
Then backwards; twice each:
2 x 12 = 24
2 x 11 = 22
2 x 10 = 20
etc.
Miscellaneous
March is coming in like a lamb in Michigan! We had a beautiful day and we took full advantage of the glorious sunshine with two great recesses! The children are working hard on multiplication, cursive handwriting, and all of the other subjects they love!
The March newsletter is coming home today with your child. It is on bright green paper and should be in their Blue Alert. Please note; the third grade is having a guest speaker on Friday of this week. His name is Mr. Monsma and he is a world explorer. His presentation will be on Antarctica.
Have a wonderful evening with your great children!
