Homework
1. Spelling City is up to date. There will be a test this Friday on Unit 26; Suffixes.
2. If you did not get your spelling completed in class, please do so at home (pages 162 and 163).
3. Work on your multiplication tables. We need to still master the 6's and 8's.
4. Review set P (multiplication sheet). 1 minute test tomorrow on both O and P .
Miscellaneous
A permission slip for the Spring Concert rehearsal went home today. This will be a walking trip with no cost to you. Please sign the slip and return to school by this Friday, April 30th. As with the Christmas Program, our Spring Concert will be held at Pioneer Auditorium, located at Wealthy Elementary School in East Grand Rapids, on Tuesday, May 4th at 6:30 PM. Students are asked to arrive no later than 6:15 and no earlier than 6:00. We ask they dress in their Sunday best.
The students are still working on memorizing The Apostle's Creed. This is a requirement for all 3rd graders. Once they are able to recite the Creed to Mrs. Balck or Mrs. Strong, they will earn a treat. Please work with your student on this wonderful profession of all Christian faiths.
The children are also working on being able to recite multiplication facts within a one minute time frame (20 problems without a mistake or a long pause). This too will earn the children a treat of their choice. Many have tried to complete this task and many are still working on it. Please continue to work with your child on all of their multiplication facts.
