Dear Parents and Friends,
We are in our first month of third grade.
Your students are learning procedures and getting used to a new classroom and more difficult academic work.
Please continue to work on math facts with your children. Start with addition facts and advance to subtraction facts when your student is ready. The faster your child can remember facts (such as 6 + 8 = 14. Therefore 14 - 6 must equal 8), the easier it will be for your student to work math operations.
Red Alert:
Your students may have a "draft" of a writing piece in their Red Alerts. Some children have been instructed to ask for help in making corrections at home. These students are to bring the "draft" back to school tomorrow so that we may write a revised draft. Thank you for looking at your child's draft and helping her/him to make the papers better.
