Dear Parents,
Today, Friday the 19th, I am sending home a booklet regarding a program adopted by our Diocese. The program is called "Teaching Touching Safety" and is offered in all grades at St Stephen School.
This program is intended for third-graders and will be taught in May.
Please look over the program. There is good information there for you.
Also included is an "opt-out" form. If you do not wish your child to take part in this teaching, please sign the form and send it back to school. You need not return the form unless you do not want your child to take part.

Don't forget "Star Stride" tomorrow morning! It is not too late to register for this wonderful event. You can even register tomorrow before the race. We hope that you can make it!

Math and Practice!

Please work with your student on math facts! The students need to know all multiplication facts; and we are now working on division facts. Practice in short sessions. Buying a set of flash cards is highly recommended. Kids can even make their own out of 3 X 5 cards. They only need to make cards on facts they don't already know!
Making up addition and subtraction problems and asking your student to compute is a really good idea. Using two and three-digit numbers would be a good. The idea is to practice and drill!
