Homework: Tonight: Please write the fact families for 5+8 and 7+8, five (5) times each. Please practice Set P of your math facts.
Do not forget to complete your homework on lined, loose-leaf paper with the proper heading. Remember to skip a line between each set. Example:
5+3=8
3+5=8
8-5=3
8-3=5 (5 times each)
7+8=15
8+7=15
15-8=7
15-7=8 (5 times each)
Remember to number each set.
There will be no spelling test this week; However, you may wish to have your child review Spelling City! She or he will be tested next week on the words that are listed there.
It was another great and busy day. We worked hard in class and took two tests (math and reading). The children also had computers and gym and the entire class enjoyed a beautiful afternoon recess!
A packet of paper was sent home regarding the field trip planned for November 4th to the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Please review and let us know if you have questions. As soon as you sign the permission slip, have your child return it to Mrs. Balck or Mrs. Strong. We are in need of parent drivers. Let us know if you can help. Without parent drivers we will have to cancel the trip.
