There is homework over the weekend! Your student will have a math facts sheet and a sample English Test to work on this weekend.
Your student should be reaching proficiency in subtraction facts by now; i.e. accuracy plus speed!
The sample English Test should help prepare your child for the actual test that Mr. Groenewold will give on Tuesday of next week.

Look for the pictures of the students' Reader's Theater productions at the bottom of the blog.
English: We will be wrapping up an English unit on capitalization of proper nouns and the beginning of sentences. We are also working on punctuation, abbreviations, lists and quotations.
There will be a test on these on Tuesday of next week.
Science: The unit on animals will conclude next week with a presentation of student dioramas.
We will also be studying the food chain.
Social Studies: We are studying geography. What are the names of the continents, the spelling of each, and where are they on a world map? Name some major countries that are on each continent.
