Homework tonight!

Today, Michael Monroe came to talk to us about his beautiful illustrations. Ask your children about the books that he has illustrated.

For homework tonight the students should write a short paragraph (4-5 sentences) on kidblog, about this special occasion. Students should remember to use the correct capitalization and punctuation that we learned about this week.
Our kidblog website address is kidblog.org/3rdgrade2010-2011. Students should log in, in the upper right corner. They need to find their name from the list and then log in using their password. Their password is their student number, their first and last initials, and then their student number again. (ex. Steven White whose student number is 3 would have a password of 3sw3)

In Science Class we are finishing a unit on animals. We have been making many observations about what animals need. To conclude our unit, students are to make a diorama of an animal and its habitat. The habitat should include the animal's shelter, food source, and water source. The student should use the books that they checked out from the library to help them find the correct information. The diorama is due next Friday, October 22. (Old shoe boxes make great dioramas.)

The class works hard on their drawings during the Michael Glenn Monroe assembly.

Some of the boys admire the art.
