Homework

1. Review Spelling City, Unit 28. There will be a test on Friday.

2. Math page 7-1, Division as Sharing. This is a two-sided sheet. Please complete both sides and be ready to turn into Mrs. Strong in the morning.

Important Notes

Business Day will be next week Wednesday, May 19th. The approximate hours of operation will be from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. All of the school is invited to visit our businesses and it is a day that is eagerly anticipated by all. The children are allowed to begin their set-up as soon as they arrive to school. If a parent helper is required to assist your child, he/she may arrive in the morning to help set-up and then return around 9:45 prior to the sale.

The children have been instructed on the following:

• Complete your business application this week and get all of the appropriate signatures. The sooner you get in your application the sooner your business will be granted a license of operation.
• Advertise your business ahead of time. Be artistic and creative.
• Bring a money box and starting change. Work on counting back money prior to the sale.
• Need electricity? A parent or adult supervisor is required to help operate your business.

This is a starting point along with the green sheet which has the outline of a business plan (this went home with your student in his or her blue alert last week). If you have further questions, please feel free to ask Mrs. Balck or Mrs. Strong.

Katie's and Abby's corner

Today was a rainy day! We had recesses in the gym. We had Spanish and music and we got to watch our spring program in music. In math we learned division and practiced multiplication .
