Dear Families,

Your student might ask you if she or he may go to your home computer to practice math facts.
The program is called IXL and your children used it last year with Mrs. Harju as well.

We would like to have each student use IXL for practice for 6 to 10 minutes a night, beginning with place value at the third grade level, and then subtraction math facts. Every student will proceed at his own level. We are suggesting at least 30 minutes per week; but whatever you think is appropriate for your child will be fine! (Even no computer time! It is important for you to feel free to make that decision for your own child.)

We want to let you know that the students have a password that they should give to you , that we will encourage students to use this program and others for practice, and that you may choose to opt out if you wish to do so.

Tomorrow is a casual day!

Tomorrow is also a spelling test day. See unit 8 on Spelling City.
